Anybody attended medical tourism exhibits in NY lately?

Has anybody been offered lately the "opportunity" to reach hundreds of participants in an exhibit in New York City related to medical tourism in 2010 and 2011? Have you attended such an exhibit? Does anybody have pictures of hundreds attending such an exhibit?

Has the exhibit been "unexpectedly" cancelled? Has its organizer sent an email offering a refund only to delay and never ever return the funds? Has its organizer simply said "sue me in New York" knowing that the cost of an attorney is higher than the fee misappropiated?

There is a group out there called EPS Global Medical Development Inc. touting what seem to be bogus healthcare/medical conferences. I got the following email today:

Dear Dr. Versel N.

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend the EPS Montreal International Gene Conference to be held November 3-4, 2011 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The conference will provide a forum for researchers in Genetics and Genomics to present cutting edge research and learn about the latest breakthroughs and technologies.

The idea behind nearly all scams is to take your money in one way or another.

Common clues that these mails are a scam are:

Poor spelling and grammar.

A general greeting line such as 'Hello dear', 'Hello Sir, Madam' or 'Dear Beloved

Originating mail is more often than not a Yahoo or other free email address even when the writer claims to represent a company.

Mail is addressed to 'undisclosed recipients' or some other address than your own.

You have won a lot of money.

Someone wants to share their fortune with you.

You are urged to open an attachment.

You are instructed to log in to your banking account.

Mention of Western Union (or Paypal) is a dead giveaway.

Special Events USA suspends September 2010 show

After the 2008 real estate fiasco with the Feria Inmobiliaria which organizers have yet to provide proof of any refunds to frustrated exhibitors, Daniel Ordonez strikes again rested and ready with the Medical World Tourism Fair / Feria Turismo Medico in (where else) New York. Just like before a fancy location was chosen - this time Madame Tussaud's Museum.

The day of the event comes and ... guess what.....

MEDICAL WORLD TOURISM FAIR OF NEW YORK CANCELLED.
Daniel Ordonez, I was informed by two members of Madame Tussaud's helpful staff, cancelled (rescheduled in the future)the event today September 15, 2010 and I was told staff by a staff member that he had informed the exhibitors of the cancellation. If anyone has received a refund of the money, that is good. If people have not received a refund, those people probably have the Brooklyn 11209 address that Daniel Ordonez is using to contact him fast. Your comments are appreciated and those comments may include great, helpful advice and feedback for everyone. Who is Daniel Smith anyway? Read further. I had never seen Daniel Ordonez's name on the internet regarding the Medical World Tourism Fair in New York. Why not? Seek and you shall find. There may be answers you need to know.
